Early predictions for the '02 season.

World Superbike:

January 22, 2002

o Haga will impress at the beginning of the season as he did in '00.
o Colin Edwards will be a force the entire year except when he's bitching and at Laguna Seca.
o Team Foggy will not impress this year, but Corser may put on a respectable show. Haydon is not up to the job.
o Chris Walker will fight with Neil Hodgson at the home rounds, but will beat Hodgson as payback!
o Bayliss, Xaus, and Bostrom will win a remarkably equal number of races.
o Haga for the championship. He's due, and he wants it worse than anyone else.

AMA Superbike:

January 22, 2002

o Honda will be impressive, but Nicky Hayden will shine brightest.
o Nicky Hayden will narrowly win Daytona if his bike doesn't blow up.
o Kurtis Roberts will self destruct when he realizes he has more nuts than talent
o Suzuki will do well because they have 3 riders on the same team to shake down the bike. This will work to Mladin and Yates' favor. Hacking will simply bitch that he's not getting enough attention.
o Suzuki will fire Hacking, possibly before the end of the year.
o Kawasaki and Yamaha will struggle because they only have one rider to shake down the bike. This could be minimized depending on usability of historical data.
o HMC will be happy with Picotte, but will wonder why they didn't hire Chandler instead.
o Mike Hale will replace Kurtis Roberts on the Superbike and win a race.
